Privacy Policy
Effective Date: February 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how GetBuildMint (“we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information in connection with the GetBuildMint Chrome extension and related services (the “Service”).
By using the Service, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy.
1. Overview
The extension primarily operates locally within your browser.
We do not sell personal data.
We do not collect Facebook credentials.
We do not transmit your posting content to our servers.
The Service is designed to minimize data collection.
2. Information We Process
A. License Verification Data
To verify your subscription or entitlement, the extension may transmit:
- Your license key
- An optional anonymous device identifier
This information is used solely to validate plan access and enforce licensing.
We do not use license data for marketing or profiling.
B. Local Storage Data (Stored on Your Device)
The extension stores the following locally in Chrome extension storage:
- Facebook group URLs
- Post URL
- Post text
- Scheduled posting data
- License key
This data remains on your device.
It is not transmitted to GetBuildMint servers.
If you enable Chrome Sync in your browser settings, your browser may sync extension data under Google’s own policies.
C. Website Interaction
The extension interacts only with Facebook pages you actively open in your browser to automate posting workflows.
This may include:
- Opening the composer
- Inserting saved text or URLs
- Triggering posting actions
Content processed during automation is handled locally within your browser session and is not stored or transmitted to our servers.
The extension does not access unrelated websites.
D. Payment Information
The extension does not collect or process payment information.
Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as Merchant of Record.
Lemon Squeezy processes billing, invoicing, and taxes in accordance with their own Privacy Policy.
We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
3. What We Do Not Collect
We do not:
- Collect Facebook usernames or passwords
- Access private messages
- Store posting content on our servers
- Track browsing activity outside extension functionality
- Sell or rent personal data
4. Legal Basis for Processing (International Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or similar jurisdictions, we process limited data (license key validation) based on:
- Performance of contract (to provide the Service)
- Legitimate interests (fraud prevention and license enforcement)
Because the Service operates primarily locally, personal data processing is minimal.
5. Data Retention
License validation records may be stored on our servers only as necessary to:
- Verify subscription status
- Prevent fraud
- Maintain system integrity
We do not retain Facebook content or posting data.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share user data with third parties.
Limited data may be processed by:
- Hosting or infrastructure providers necessary for license validation
- Lemon Squeezy for payment processing
Such providers are contractually obligated to protect data.
7. Security
We implement reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect license verification data.
However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Third-Party Platforms
The Service interacts with Facebook as part of user-directed automation.
We are independent from Meta Platforms.
Your use of Facebook remains governed by Meta’s own policies and privacy practices.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:
- Request access to personal data
- Request correction
- Request deletion
- Object to processing
Because we collect minimal personal data, many of these rights may not apply in practice.
To make a request, contact us at: support@getbuildmint.com
10. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not intended for individuals under 18 years old.
We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
